Realitas Khayal

The first album of Aksan Sjuman And The Committee Of The Fest Realitas Khayal was recorded live in 2007, but it was not until March 2014 that they finally launched the album, citing the lengthy period it took to regroup and the timing they deemed ready for the listeners to accept what Aksan called the "21st century music" as the reasons behind the delayed release. The album is conceptualized as an experimental ground in which the songs were composed by different interpretations and personalities of each member. And the decision to make a live recording is to maintain the sponteinity and complexity in an album just like how they play it on stage.

The 6 songs are Death of the Prophet, Hungry, Love as a Punishment, Candu Cinta, World as a Festival, and Hidden Tracks. They all represent a mixture of genres, exactly like what Aksan wants with the band that is also named by him, explaining that music above all must be colorful and simply entertaining. There are jazz, rock, pop, contemporary music, pop, new wave, disco, psychedelic, carried with roaring and complex guitar sounds, flowing bass, harmonising synth, surprising beat and hypnotic vocal.

Recording process took place in Ponpin Studio, Sjuman School of Music, and produced by Rumah Karya Sjuman. Brotherland undertook the mixing process, and Migi Parahita designed the epic collage style of the album cover.
